The Llŷn Peninsula boasts 50 miles of stunning coastline, nearly all of which can be reached within 30 minutes drive of Hendre Barns. Emma and Andrew can advise on where to go for walkers, beach lovers and bird watchers. National Route 8 of The National Cycle Network is just 15 minutes away with Regional Routes on the doorstep.
For golfers, there is links golf at Nefyn & District Golf Club (10 minutes), Pwllheli Golf Club (10 minutes), Abersoch Golf Club (20 minutes), Porthmadog Golf Club (20 minutes) and Royal St. David’s Golf Club (40 minutes).
Snowdonia National Park is 20 minutes away, boasting beautiful scenery, exhilarating walks and mountain biking and adventure sports such as white water rafting.
We are 20 minutes from the Ffestiniog Railway, soon to be linked to the Welsh Highland Railway to become the longest narrow gauge steam railway in Britain. 25 minutes drive is Portmeirion, the Italianate village built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and home to the 1960s TV series The Prisoner and the distinctive floral pottery.
Also within easy reach are castles at Criccieth, Harlech and Caernarfon and countless museums, galleries and National Trust properties.
